The Tethered Balloon Rides
are SOLD OUT!!
Tether Ride Description and Disclaimer!
What is a tethered balloon ride? A tethered balloon ride is when the balloon is tied to the ground to keep the balloon from flying away. This allows the balloon to lift off and “fly” a small group of people without taking an actual hot air balloon ride!
Tethered balloon rides usually last approximately 5 minutes and will fly between 50 to 80 feet. The exact height is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to wind and number of passengers.
How many people can ride at a time? Between 4 – 8 people can ride in a tethered balloon at a time depending on their combined weight. For safety reasons, the pilot and crew always reserve the right to limit how many passengers can get into the balloon basket. Please Note: Depending on your group, you may not all be able to ride together.
What about the weather? Tethered rides can only happen when the winds are around 8 mph or less. If the winds are any faster (or there are storms in the area) the balloon becomes difficult to control and can be unsafe. If tether rides should be cancelled due to the weather all monies will be refunded.
Each participant (or parent/guardian for those under 18 years of age) must sign a waiver before being allowed to take a ride. You will find this waiver at the end of your registration and MUST BE printed off and brought with you the night of the event.
