Rib Fest

The Avon Chamber of Commerce sponsored the first Hendricks County Rib-Fest on July 2, 2005 at the Washington Township Park in Avon. The event was a huge success!

The event has become an annual tradition and features live entertainment, games for kids, lots of food, and fireworks! Local restaurants compete for bragging rights of "best ribs" & "best sauce" as judged  by the local tasters. More than 5000 people attend each year, and it is Avon's only fireworks celebration for the 4th of July! It is always held the Saturday before the 4th of July, so mark your calendars in advance!

The Avon Chamber would like to thank Washington Township Park for 7 years of hosting Rib-Fest. We have always had a great partnership and appreciate their willingness to support our event. Due to continued growth in attendance, we felt that a move was necessary in order to accomodate more people, more activities, and more vendors. We look forward to making this event more exciting with each year!

The 2012 Hendricks County Rib-Fest will be held June 30 at Kingsway Christian Church!

We would like to welcome the Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District and their Earthstock to our event. They will be providing great exhibits, artwork, activities and games related to making our town "green" friendly! They will also be providing the nights headlining performer, Jennie DeVoe, who recently sang on stage in Super Bowl Village!
